Cookie Policy

This is a courtesy translation. In the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
This website does not use cookies. Not first-party, not third-party, not analytics, not advertising. That is why you will not see a banner asking for your permission: there is nothing to consent to.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. Among other things, it is used to remember your preferences, keep you signed in or — and this is the reason all the regulation exists — track you across different websites in order to show you advertising.
2. Why does this website not use any?
Because it does not need them. emkenia.com is an informational site with a contact form. There is no user area, no shopping basket and no preferences to remember, so there is nothing to store in your browser.
We also do not use analytics tools such as Google Analytics, social network tracking pixels or advertising systems. We do not know who you are, where you come from or what you do after you leave.
3. We do not load third-party resources either
It is worth explaining, because it is a common source of non-compliance that almost nobody checks. Many websites load fonts, icons or libraries from external servers (Google’s, for example). Even though that installs no cookie, it does send your IP address to that company without your authorisation, and in the European Union that has already led to enforcement decisions.
On this website everything is served from our own hosting: the fonts, the logo, the icons and the styles. When you visit us, your browser does not make a single request to third-party servers.
4. The virtual assistant does not use cookies either
This website has a conversational assistant. Although it runs on artificial intelligence, it installs no cookies and stores nothing in your browser: the conversation lives only in the page’s memory while you have it open, and it disappears as soon as you close or reload the tab.
Nor is it loaded by a third party. When you type, your browser communicates only with our own domain, and it is our server that then queries the artificial intelligence provider. From your browser’s point of view, there is no external connection.
That said: the text you type in the chat is processed by that provider in order to generate an answer for you. We explain this in detail in the Privacy Policy, and that is why we ask you not to type personal data into the chat.
5. Data we do process
The fact that we use no cookies does not mean we process no data. If you fill in and send the contact form, we collect the information you provide in it. All of that is explained in detail in our Privacy Policy.
6. Changes to this policy
If in the future we bring in a tool that does use cookies — an analytics system, for example — we will update this page and enable the corresponding prior consent mechanism before installing anything in your browser. Until then, this statement stands as it is.
7. How to control cookies in general
Even though you will not need it here, every browser lets you block or delete the cookies that other websites do install. You can do so from the privacy settings of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge, in the privacy and security section.
